My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kona! Kona is a 60lb brindle Terrier mix who is about 4 years old. He has excellent, mature house manners: no destructiveness, no separation anxiety, no counter surfing, no resource guarding, a soft mouth, house broken and has been left alone in the house for up to eight hours with not a single problem. He is energetic, fun loving, wants to please, and loves his belly rubs. Outside he can get amped up with the sights and smells and can bark at other dogs but is easily redirected when asked to do so. He is not prey driven but will whine, and alert to wildlife that gets too close. He doesn't need a lot of exercise to dampen his energy level so would make for a good apartment dog or small outdoor space although he would love a yard to call his own too. He is very friendly and gives big tail wags and loves to snuggle. He has a high excitement level when meeting new dogs so a home where he is the only dog or a home where the adopter is willing to introduce the two pups with training guidance would be ideal. Kona tries hard to please and could use some socialization work with other dogs so three training sessions with The Kind Canine will be provided to the new adopter free of charge to set Kona up for success in his new home!
