My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Indigo
Incredible dog alert! Indigo is amazing!!!! From the minute she arrived everyone fell in love with her.
Indigo looks to be a Rottweiler/Coonhound mix, which is a wonderful mix. Indigo possess the best of these breeds. She is a friendly, calm, intelligent, upbeat and happy girl. She is an absolute love, who immediately came in and gave everyone doggie kisses and lots of tail wags. She was very confident in her affection and she knew right away everyone loved her. Which of course we did. She’s a social girl. She welcomed immediately hugs and pets and of course treats! Indigo is five years old. Sadly, she is heartworm positive, but we’ll take care of getting her treated thanks to the donations our supporters provided to help us save her life. Indigo has a gentle demeanor and her manners are terrific. She walks easily on leash and loves being with her person strolling and sniffing. Indigo travels well in a car and likes to go places. She is up for adventure. She likes most other dogs, so we would definitely do a meet and greet for approved adopters, but does not react well to cats and will need to be placed in a home without them. We’re unsure if she is house-trained, but think if not, she’d learn quickly with consistency and gentle reminders.
This beauty is a special girl. Indigo will be a wonderful companion and will fit easily into your heart and home.
