My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dagny! This gorgeous lady is looking for a forever home to live out her golden years. She is about 7 years old. She was rescued right before COVID set in and trying to find a place to call her own and a family that will love her.

She is crate-trained, housebroken, responds to commands “sit”, “down” and “stay”.
She is not destructive but can be curious about objects at times. She has picked up our soap dish and carried it to another part of the house before. But that is about it.

She is spayed and in good health.
She is low heartworm positive, but her heart and lungs are strong and she has started slow kill treatment. She is NOT contagious and should test negative after a few more months of prevention.

She also has dermatitis, which requires medicated baths once a month or so.
Because of her skin issues, she really does need to be an inside dog.

She is submissive with people. And she enjoys playing with other dogs as long as things don’t get too rough. She is protective of our yard, as most German Shepherds are. She walks on a leash but does pull. She could use some more training in that area.

Dagny, which means “New Day” in Norwegian.
