Meet our sweet princess named Tauriel! Tauriel is about 4 years old and she came to us after she was found roaming in town. She is a nice dog who enjoys getting attention from her people. She loves to run around outside with us and chase tennis balls! Tauriel is very stressed in the kennel and would love to find her forever home soon! She is a real love bug!
Tauriel bonds very closely with her people. We believe she will do better in a home with a single adult who she can share all her love with. Once she finds her person, she can get protective of them. She does tend to bond more quickly with men than with women.
Tauriel can be picky about the dogs she gets along with, and would do best in a home where she is the only dog. She is a bit too interested in kitties to be able to live with them. We are looking for a home without children for Tauri so she can have extra space to decompress. Tauriel is already spayed and vaccinated against rabies. MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
