My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Knox
Two year old female, spayed/vaccinated. Currently lives with two dogs, and small kids. She is high energy and will need an active home who are willing to work on leash training and manners. She is eager to please and responds to correction. She would be a great running or hiking partner. She is an indoor dog, and wants to be part of the family. Large dog experience preferred. She is a Rottweiler mix, has many traits of the breed and will be a loyal companion. Her current home is not the right fit and she must find a new home by August 7.

Additional adoption info

Interested persons complete an application and if adopting an animal, an adoption contract is completed also. Animals are delivered to new home where all family members including other pets must be present in order to complete adoption. This is to ensure that everyone gets along and to help ensure a successful match and adoption. A followup phone call and visit are made to see how the pet is doing in the new home. All animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fees vary from $50-$150.

Go meet their pets

By appointment only. We do not have a shelter and rely entirely on our volunteer foster families to provide safe loving homes for animals until they are adopted.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1976, we are an all volunteer animal welfare organization that is dependent on the good will and talents of our friends and volunteers. Our focus is to promote community education on responsible pet care and ownership, which is a lifetime commitment--for the life of the pet. Through education, it is our hope that both children and adults will learn the importance of responsible pet care, including spaying and neutering to help solve the problem of pet overpopulation. Everyone can do their part by taking good care of their pet! Since we have no shelter or facility, any animals we rescue and/or take in are cared for in foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
