Sweet, sweet Emma was found as a stray on the rough roads of a rural area. A good samaritan took her in and contacted
Mutt Match for help. We quickly realized she was pregnant and soon after she gave birth to TWELVE beautiful babies. Babies have been adopted and Emma is ready for her new life too.
Emma is a Golden Retriever mix, approximately 1.5 - 2 years old. She is very sweet and loyal girl dying for love, affection and a home to call her own but she can be shy & timid when meeting new people, a patient experienced home would be best suited for Emma. She is friendly with other dogs so long as they are friendly with her. She is good with kids but a home with young children or toddler's may be too much for her. She loves to play fetch (but not retrieve), play in the water and would be a great running or hiking partner. She would do best in a home with someone who either worked from home, was able to take her to work or doggie day care, she would not do well in a home left alone for long hours. She is able to jump fences, only a home with a secure fence will be considered.
We not adopt out of state nor do we place dogs on a first come first serve basis but rather to the home that is best suited for each particular dogs needs and breed. An application, home check, contract and fee are required for adoptions. All dogs will be or required to be spayed/neutered NO EXCEPTIONS, current on vaccinations and microchipped before adoption. Our adoptionfee is $350 for dogs 10 weeks - 2 years, $300 for dogs 2 - 5 years and $250 for dogs over 5 years. Adoption fee covers vaccinations (additional vaccinations maybe be required depending upon age), spay/neuter and microchip.
We believe a well behaved dog is a happy dog & companion. Therefore, we require at least one session with one of our recommended trainers for dogs over four months at a reduced fee of paid directly to the trainer which is not included in the adoption fee.
