My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brooke is the most adorable pittie girl with the best smile ever. Her little body and big head make her such an amazing size.

Brooke gives off such a positive energy that is truly contagious. She gets excited for every walk, and once she gets out of her kennel, she just wants to jump into your arms and get outside! Brooke walks nicely on a leash, not actively reacting to other dogs from a distance (just stopping to stare), but likes to find the squirrels in the park!

Brooke truly opens up on her walks and comes out of her shell. Sometimes she will just stop and start rolling around and wiggling in the grass. When in the yard, Brooke will grab a toy (preferably a stuffed animal) and will go play with it on her own, although she enjoys someone sitting near her for company.

Brooke is up to date on all vaccines and is spayed.

More about this shelter

Montclair Township Animal Shelter (MTAS) is a municipal shelter providing animal control services as well as sheltering lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted animals. All animals are cared for by a small team of staff and volunteers, and the animals that are available for adoption are promoted via social media and local events. We work with other rescue organizations to accept and transfer animals, on an individual basis, depending on what is best for the animals. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. In additional MTAS provides TNR services for Montclair & Nutley.
