My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alteria!!!

Alteria is believed to be a 1 year old Border Collie/Retriever mutt mix.Definitely an active, very smart, sports dog.

Alteria can be shy relatively reserved upon meeting new people but full of spunk and curiosity and easily warms up.

Alteria loves to run,she enjoys trails and long walks, jogging, cycling, simple hikes, camping, pretty much any outdoors adventure including swimming.Oh, yes this girl is a fish in water.Alteria’s never-ending love for the outdoor adventure and human companionship makes her happy and honesty an amazing dog.Alteria is extremely smart and outgoing, very active but not hyper, which makes her even more amazing. She is not a dog that seeks to challenge anyone, but she is extremely smart and can be mischievous as her curiosity always gets the best of her.Alteria loves to snuggle and enjoys cuddles and downtime as long as it’s with her humans. She’s extremely food and praise motivated as well.A true retriever personality.Extremely easy to please as well.

Alteria is a superstar with all dogs, cats, and people. She would do just fine with older,active,well-mannered dog-friendly kids. But no birds to flocks. It’s in her nature to hunt. Alteria is a true sport dog and bird hunting is something she has done and enjoys doing.

She is not a fence jumper. In fact she won’t even jump a 3 foot fence. But she does require a nice fully fenced in yard.If given the chance, her imagination will lead her astray.Alteria is rate and house trained. We have been working hard to help her be the best dog she could be.

Alteria came to us 5 months old.It was clear she’d never seen the inside of a home.It was shared she always lived outdoors. It took 3 months till she was completely ok and no longer fearful of indoor living.Took her an additional month to be potty and crate trained but I’m happy to announce she is very well crate and house trained.

Alteria is a follower and is always tagging along with the other dogs.We strongly feel she will need and will only do best in a home with at least another balanced dog to lead and guide her.Alteria enjoys group play, daily walks, and interacting with all humans. This girl is a 10 out of 10 when it comes to personality and social skills!

A home with another playful dog is preferred,a securely fenced in yard is a must, but we are open minded and will process all applications and evaluate each applicant individually,an experienced pet owner (bonus points if you’ve raised puppies)

Alteria is house and crate trained up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, spayed, and on monthly heartworm,flea/tick prevention.

Out of State adopters are welcome at the adopters expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
