Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Heinz! This precious boy approx., 4-5-years-old, 67 pounds was just hanging out for weeks on Highway 157 in North Alabama, hence how he got his name. I am so glad we took this boy now safe in our program. Its apparent he suffered injuries in his past, but it didn’t change his temperament or loving nature. Heinz has part of one ear missing and suffered a broken tail with part of it still remaining. There are no problems with his injury and his outlook is amazing! This boy is just super special and extraordinary in every way. It's evident that at some point in his life he may have belonged before ending up in dire straits. Heinz is extremely smart, knows cues like sit, loves to play fetch, and brings you back the ball dropping it at your feet. He is extremely loving and very affectionate, stays close to your side, and knows not to jump up. I’m amazed by Heinz and wish he could talk to tell me his story!! Heinz is a good boy that enjoys being indoors and does well plus enjoys activity outdoors. He is very obedient and listens well. Heinz, unfortunately, did test positive for heartworms, so he has yet another battle to overcome, but our rescue will treat him at no cost to his adopter. I hope that in spite of Heinz's unfortunate slight deformity that someone will embrace this boy with unconditional love giving him the home he so deserves. The family will be wondering who truly rescued who I guarantee!
Heinz has been fully medically vetted now; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested positive but starting treatment, plus microchipped. Heinz will also leave us with a care package as a gift to help start his life with his new family.
