My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friends! My name is Kiva. I am a super sweet, dilute tortie, female kitten who was born on April 12, 2021. When I came to the rescue, I was in rough shape with a jaw injury, but now I'm all healed up and ready to go home! My foster mom calls me a "noodley" kitten because I am floppy and sweet. In fact, we have an entire photo album of my various flippy-floppy sleeping positions. It's possible I am made of rubber bands instead of bones. I love snuggling and cuddling with my foster humans and with my feline foster sister Fredericka, who is also up for adoption. So much so that we would really love to find a home together. I am a very confident, social and outgoing girl who doesn't get scared by much. I have lived with other cats before, as well as a big dog who I don't mind either. I have typical crazy kitten energy, but once I've run around the house chasing my crinkle balls, I like to nap wherever is comfy and available. I always use the litterbox like the good girl that I am. Please let me come live with you. I promise I'll be the very best roommate and family member ever! Apply today! Adoption fee: $125. Adopt a pair: $200. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
