My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Sanford! This little guy weighs about 18 pounds and is an adorable mix of…we aren’t sure! Maybe a dachshund/terrier combo? His tail wags all the time and he loves his toys and gets along well with other dogs, and is ok with cats too! We think he may have been mistreated at some point because he can get snippy when he’s scared. He doesn’t like hands coming toward him from overhead so you’ll have to be mindful of sudden movements until he learns to trust again. Sanford came to us intact and heart worm positive. He just had his heart worm treatment last week and needs a foster home that can provide him with 4-6 weeks of very limited physical activity while he recovers. He feels fine and there’s no medical care needed, he just needs a place to chill for a bit. Because he can snap when afraid, we ask for applicants to have either no kids, or teenaged and above.
