Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snoopy is an adorable 11-year-old Pomeranian mix who weighs 13 pounds and is being fostered in Summerfield, FL. Snoopy was rescued from a shelter when he landed after his former owner died. Please note that Snoopy must be adopted within the state of Florida.
Hello again EveryPAWdy! It’s me, Snoopy coming to you with a breaking news PUPDATE! Today Foster Mom and I got in the car and went to see the DogTor. I was a little bit afraid once we arrived because there were lots of other doggies there and it kind of reminded me of getting left at the shelter when my person died. Foster Mom held me tight and kept telling me “It’s okay Snoopy” and she was right. I was a good boy at my visit, and everyone was really nice to me. I had a thorough exam including blood work and I have very good news to report! I have been pronounced 100% healthy and after my dental cleaning next week I am READY FOR MY FUREVER HOME! My foster Pawrents say I am a good boy who would love to spend my days sitting beside my own special person watching TV, going for leash walks, and getting lots of petting. I am doing really well learning to be house-trained and as long as I am taken out regularly, I am good at least 80% of the time. Foster Mom has taught me that if I “do my business” outside like a good boy, she will use a clicker to get my attention and say, “GOOD BOY SNOOPY” and give me a yummy treat right away. I like treats very much, so I am motivated to be a good boy. I get excited when you grab the leash and love going for walks when the pavement isn’t too hot. If I encounter another doggy, I will bark Hello at them but am trying to learn that a tail wag or a sniff works just as well. I am a good car traveler. I love sleeping in bed with my foster family at night but could learn to sleep in a doggy bed too. I have two fur-siblings in my foster home that I get along with so I could be happy in a home with other well-dispositioned dogs or I could also be happy as an only fur-baby. I am food-protective so it would be best if I am fed separately from other pets. I can be a little bit stubborn at times…… like when I am napping and one of my Pawrents decides it is time for us all to go outside for a potty break. Sometimes I am not “in the mood” and I have to be carried outside but that is no biggie. I would do best in a home with a strong human pack leader who will use positive reinforcement to continue my house-training and support my good doggy behavior. I have shown some separation anxiety when Foster Mom needs to leave. I may try to follow her and bark for a couple of minutes but I will stop soon. I’d love it if my humans were with me most of the time. I also require daily brushing of my thick double coat and regular trips to the groomer to keep my coat of white FLOOF healthy and handsome. Foster Mom tells me I look like a beautiful little Arctic Fox after I am groomed and brushed. If you think you might be my FUREVER person, then please fill out an adoption application or email my foster Mom for additional information about me.
