My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kylie here was found on the highway by a good samaritan and brought to us. This is what her foster mom has to say about her: Kylie loves running around, and having fun. She's very curious and has adapted well to the litter box. She is a delight to have around!

2) A volunteer will speak with your veterinarian and make sure that your current and previous pets were cared for appropriately, which includes the following:
a) All current pets in the household are up to date on core vaccinations
b) All cats in the home are FeLV/FIV tested and negative, dogs are heartworm tested and on prevention
c) Current pets have had recent and regular exams with your vet (within the last year and every year since ownership)
d) Any previous animals were seen by your vet regularly (at least every year) and that at the end of their life they were
cared for appropriately according to the veterinarian's recommendation.

3) A volunteer will call your personal reference and discuss your history with pets and how they were taken care of

4) A volunteer will reach out to you and let you know if your application and references were approved

5) If approved, you will schedule a meet and greet with the pet of interest to see if they are what you are looking for and get to know them

6) If you choose to go forward with the adoption, a volunteer will schedule a home visit where your home is evaluated to make sure it is safe for the new pet and that all current pets are in good health

7) As long as the home check goes well, you can take the pet home!

8) Enjoy your new pet and send us updates often, we love happy tails!
