Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey HEY, Hi!
My name is Lizzy!
I have been in a shelter for too long, and really need to move into my forever home. At approx. 2 years old, I weigh around 45lbs.
I can be a bit shy at first with strangers and would take some time to trust you. Once you have my trust though, I will be your shadow. New places and people can be daunting for me, so I will need someone who understands that slower is better for me. I love to be playful and am a tug of war champion. I can tug with other dogs, or with you, but hold on tight!
I know some basic commands, and staff has been working hard to get me to walk nice on leash, but having a home of my own would make it easier for me to understand that concept.
Please consider adopting me. I promise you won’t regret it; it probably be the best choice you ever make. Seth at Fast Friends is also tired of staff asking him why I am still here!
Lizzy would do well in a quiet to moderate activity level home.
* Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. If you are interested in Lizzy or one of our other available dogs, please complete an adoption application at www.helpinggreyhounds.org/adopt

Fast Friends is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to educating the public about Greyhounds and sighthounds from around the world with the primary goal of finding responsible, loving homes for them. Fast Friends envisions a world where no Greyhound or sighthound lacks for a loving home and these breeds are valued and celebrated for their uniqueness.
Fast Friends works closely with both international and domestic partners to bring retired racing Greyhounds and other sighthounds in need from countries where they have almost no chance of a local adoption to its facility in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Each dog receives high quality care with a focus on one-on-one staff time and individualized plans to help them overcome any neglect or trauma they have experienced so that they can be successful in a home. We are dedicated to taking in dogs with the most challenging circumstances.
