My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Big Ox is looking for his new home!  Oxford or Ox as he is lovingly called in his foster home, is about 3 years old and 70 pounds of sweet Bulldog cuteness!  We believe he is an Olde English Bulldog (please research the breed - this is different from an English Bulldog!!)   Ox came to us from a shelter in Texas where he was never claimed and set for euthanasia due to some skin and ear infections.  Well you know we love our bullies at PMR so welcome to NY Ox!

Ox is a pretty chill dog.  He likes to sleep the day away.  But if there is any indication that  a walk going to happen, he is all in!  He LOVES to go for walks and see the neighborhood.  He is quite strong so he will need someone that can handle his size.  He is good with other dogs but has no interest in playing and the foster puppies in his home have tried and tried.  Ox will give a low growl warning to leave him alone and they just think it is a game lol.  Ox is crate trained and loves to go in it without issue.  He appears to be housetrained (he has a fully fenced yard in his foster home) but please expect some adjustment time just in case.  He is also recently neutered.  Ox loves people and everyone he meets loves him!  He does not like trucks though - garbage trucks, construction trucks, semis - he hates them and is ready to fight them.  Car rides are always interesting with Ox!

Ox came to us with some skin and ear infections.  These are typical medical issues for bulldogs and often reoccur.  Please understand bulldogs often need multiple visits to the vet a year to tend to anything that can come up medically.  Ox should also remain on a quality dog food.

Ox is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $450
