My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Junebug and I am as happy and squishy as my name suggests. I suffered from heat stroke in my previous home, and was sent to the shelter. The shelter is in the south and understands the heat isn’t the best for my breed, so I came a little farther north for relief! If you don’t understand brachycephalic dogs, I am not the dog for you. I won’t be a hiker, or a runner, or probably even a camper. I need air conditioning and a couch. I am, ahem, still working on getting my figure back after several litters of puppies, so small short walks (I tucker out easily even when it isn’t hot), and a strict diet is unfortunately in the cards for me. I love food, but will happily eat the healthy stuff, maybe even add some green beans so I think I am eating more? I don’t know, I just eat what’s in front of me.

What’s a must in my forever home besides a/c and a couch? Heavy duty Kongs. I love them. I mean really, really love them and insist on a lifetime supply. Those things are awwwwwwesome. Otherwise, I love all the people and even like other dogs when given the chance to warm up to them. I am silly, goofy and sweet and just know eeeeeeveryone is going to want to adopt me!
