You know that friend who always has it together? The one who walks into every room oozing of happy cool confidence, so that everyone wants to be his friend?

That's Trout.

Trout is the best friend roommate you've always wanted. The one who happily greets you at the door with a smile and an a iced tea when you come home after a long day at work (well, we bet he would have made you an iced tea if he had opposable thumbs). The one who gives you your space, but pops his head into your room every so often to check in on you and let you know he cares (in Trout's case he comes over to rub up against you, and walks in and around your lap a few times before going back to what he was doing). The one who comes running when you call (Trout literally comes bounding over to you when you snap your fingers).

Trout is the epitome of the happy, chill energy that makes a house (or apt) a home. He isn't in your face, but he is a steady presence always nearby. He's also super interactive and almost always up for some petting and play! Trout is pretty much the perfect roommate.

Trout is initially shy when he goes to a new home as he scopes out the new place and people, but when given his space and patience he quickly gets into his groove within a few weeks. After that, he struts around your home like he's been there forever! He'll be back to exuding his usual confidence and cool dude vibes.

Trout absolutely loves treats! He sometimes sleeps at the foot of your bed and you can totally bribe him to come up by your chest with some kibble. And during the day, he climbs up into your bed and burrows under your blanket to take a nap. Sometimes he sleeps so soundly that he falls off--and you'll see a lump under your blanket slide off the side of the bed with a thump! This super cool guy has his goofy moments too...which make him that much more lovable.
