Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gilda is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Gilda was saved from a fast kill, small town, dog pound. She is a young, active rat terrier puppy around 3 months old and weighing 7 pounds. Gilda is a sweet but very active and fearless little girl. She loves to run zoomies around the yard, dodging and leaping over obstacles with another one of the dogs chasing her. Given her size, we think she is a little too fearless because her current puppy playmate can be a little too rough with her. Gilda loves water and likes to splash through puddles and in the wading pool. Gilda is crate-trained but needs house training. She is still a puppy that needs to learn house rules and obedience training is important. Gilda is outgoing and loves everyone but additional socialization is still important. Gilda should also get along with cats if properly introduced, especially since most cats are bigger than she is. Again, Gilda is very small and must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that can hurt her. She must also be protected from outdoor predators and large raptors that would consider her dinner. Gilda must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to play and run zoomies.
Gilda is healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, and is receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. She is vaccinated for rabies and has received two puppy shots. She needs her 3rd puppy shot on July 28 but can be adopted now. Gilda has a $550.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
