Don’t let her slightly grumpy face fool you: Sadie is a sweetie! She has been spending more and more time out and about in the lounge, sniffing everything, jumping up on the couches, and letting everyone pet her. She and Jacob were both adopted as kittens and lived with one owner their whole lives, only to be surrendered to a shelter. She loves being brushed and has purred for a couple of volunteers. We have even discovered her favorite treat! She has a quiet little meow and likes to let us know when it’s time for breakfast.

She and Jacob will only be adopted out together, as they have lived together since he was a kitten and Sadie was just 2 years old, and they are a bonded pair. They’ve both relaxed in our space at the lounge but deserve to live out their lives in a real home. Sadie and Jacob’s adoption fee is $200 and a portion of that is sponsored by a donor for the right home. They don’t ask for much – just a quiet home to retire in and live out their remaining years.
