My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hayley's back left paw was amputated in the womb. The vet thinks the umbilical chord wrapped around her paw and it was severed prior to her birth, leaving her with most of her leg, but no paw. She walked on the stump for 2 years before we rescued her, resulting in severe arthritis and hip dysplasia. Sadly, we rescued her just prior to COVID and she had to suffer for another year before we were finally able to get her leg amputated this past April. Getting that leg off was a complete game changer for this gorgeous girl. Now that she is no longer in pain, her entire demeanor has changed. Where she was cranky and would lash out with claws and teeth, she now only reaches out for love. Where she used to stay primarily on the floor and was sedentary, she now climbs all over the place and enjoys her life. She is a sweet, affectionate little girl who wants nothing more than her own family to love and play with. Despite being a tripod, she has no mobility problems at all. She is fully vetted, spayed and negative for FIV/FeLV.
