My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maui is an 8-year-old female who has a low-key personality most of the time.

She is a gentle soul and can be quite the shadow, wanting to know where her Foster Mom is always. She is a real sweetheart! She loves to be held, petted, and loved on and is the definition of a lap dog.

She does enjoy a run in the yard with the other dogs and walks quite well on a leash. She is about 10 lbs. She is great with people and other dogs. She may bark when unsure of her surroundings. She is currently living with four other small dogs.

It is unknown how she reacts to cats and children as there are no cats or children in this foster home.

She is not interested in toys but likes to chew on bone type items. Some of her favorite things include setting on the couch monitoring the activity around her or burying her head in my arms and falling asleep.

Maui is always ready for a snuggle session and willing to share a lap when encouraged to do so. She is crate-trained and house-trained, here, in her foster home.

Maui attaches to others quickly but may take time before the fullness of her personality will show. Patience and time will be greatly rewarded as she is eager to please.

She enjoys time with her foster family and is ready to be in a permanent home where someone will cuddle and love her for the rest of her life.

She has had some teeth removed so a soft food is recommended.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. Maui needs another small dog in the home and someone home most of the time. She is located in MI
