My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Tapito and I'm a gorgeous dilute tortie girl who was born on March 22, 2021. I'm sort of a strange kitten! You see, I do absolutely LOVE pets. I'll reach toward you and ask you to come to me, and I will roll over and ask for belly rubs when you do too. I could sit there forever as long as you pet me, it just feels so nice. Here's the catch - I make you come to me! I'm not comfortable walking up to you asking for pets just yet, but my foster mom says she thinks I will be soon. I'll hang out near you and play, but I'm probably not what you would consider to be a lap cat. I'm social, and will greet you at the door too. I'm totally fine with being petted and loved on, I'll even purr! Don't ask me why I am the way that I am! I absolutely adore other cats though, I like to scream and walk down the hallway calling all the cats in the house to hang out with me. Once I find them I'm down for playing and snuggles. I'm goofy and playful, too. If you have a spring or wand toy, it's game on! I use the litterbox like the good girl that I am. My ideal home is a pretty peaceful adult-only environment that has at least one adult cat, but I would really enjoy going home with one of my foster siblings as well. I promise if you get to know me a bit, I'll be an amazing companion to you and I'll have you laughing in no time. Come on, let's stay in and watch Netflix together! Adoption fee: $125. Adopt a pair: $200. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
