My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi ya, friends! My name is Leia! I am the cutest female, gray tabby kitten. My siblings Luka and Lupin and I were born on April 29, 2021. We are three playful and affectionate kittens who are looking for our forever homes. A few things to know: we love belly rubs, yummy treats, snuggling up in a cozy spot, and pouncing on our toys and chasing each other around. We are expert wrestlers, pouncers and chasers. You should see us in action. We will have you laughing in no time with our silly kitten antics. My foster mom says there is no shortage of activity and energy level here. But as playful and goofy as we are, we are also very gentle. And at the end of the day, we are happy with the simple things in life. We are totally cool with just lounging on the couch with you to relax. Purring is also one of our specialties, we’ve mastered the craft. We would love to go home with one of our siblings because we really enjoy having each other around, but we like other cats big and small and we like meeting new friends. We use the litter box 100% of the time and are good at using our scratch pads. If you meet us, you will fall in love in no time! Apply today! Adoption fee: $125. Adopt a pair: $200. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

Saturday, July 24, 2021: Kitten adoptions and craft show event outside at Rocko's 47202 Hayes Rd, Macomb Township, MI 48044. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., come meet adoptable kittens and shop to support homeless pets. Enjoy shopping the craft vendors, including dog and cat ornaments from Paws for Life (100% of proceeds benefit PFL).

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
