Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cooper is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Cooper's owners surrendered him to a fast kill, small town, dog pound. When surrendered one of his front legs was deformed with an old untreated injury. It was necessary to remove the leg to prevent infection. It is now much easier for him to walk and he gets around just fine. Please see the end of the video for a picture and video of him before the leg was removed.
Cooper is a very sweet and gentle little boy. We think he is a Norfolk terrier, although it is possible he might be a mix. He weighs 13 pounds and might be around 2 years of age. Cooper is a very happy, sweet, friendly, and playful little guy. He loves other dogs and always wants to be in the middle of whatever playing is going on. Cooper probably would also do well with cats. Cooper is well-behaved in the house. He is crate trained but needs more work with housetraining. He will wear a male wrap once you get it on him. Cooper would also benefit from additional obedience training. Cooper is pretty tough and fearless, but he still must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that can hurt him. Cooper must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Cooper has a wiry coat, that will require yearly grooming.
Cooper is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and is receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Cooper has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. Cooper has a $550.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT, Brattleboro VT, Nashua NH, or Hampton NH. He is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after he is adopted.
