My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toby & Chloe, a bonded pair who MUST be adopted together, we will not make any exceptions as they are very much bonded to each other!
Toby (Yorkie mix) is likely deaf around 13 years old. Love to snuggle, is incredibly kind, loves small children, and gets along well with other dogs. He loves to find a pillow, pile of blankets, or a warm lap to snuggle on. He only gets vocal when he is playing with other dogs. He is sneaky about letting you know he needs to go out and has had a few minor accidents in the house, but always goes immediately when taken outside. He has never had an accident in his cage. He is truly a kind, gentle old man!
Chloe (Bichon mix) is a super friendly lovie dog around 6 years old. She greets you with a hug and wants to be pet/snuggled often. She loves to play with other dogs. She has a big bark when a guest arrives/knocks on the door, but she is the first to greet those guests with a kiss and hug! She loves treats and does a few tricks for those treats. She will growl (low rumble) when Toby tries to share a bed with her, but she loves him and relents quickly. She is quick to roll over for belly rubs and loves to go for walks. She struggles with some allergies and an ear infection, but is on ear medication and a shampoo that seems to really be helping her!

An approved adoption application is required. The $250 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
