My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby is 10 year old orange and white Britt. Her fur is so soft she feels like a bunny, and she has beautiful peaches and cream markings. She has two loves in her life: 1. Looking for squirrels and 2. Snuggling with her people. She is wonderfully affectionate, and has yet to meet a person she didn’t like. She will bark once if someone approaches the house, and promptly smother the “intruder” with kisses once they’re inside.

Abby enjoys playing with her much younger foster brother, chasing him, bowing and bouncing around. She is very sweet to him, despite his puppy shenanigans, but will scold him if he is out of line. She enjoys going for walks and taking trips to the dog park, where she patrols the perimeter and goes bounding through the woods, sniffing out critters. She isn’t terribly interested in toys or balls, but does love cow hooves and the occasional nylabone.

Abby knows her commands, and walks well on a leash with a gentle leader. She is crate trained, and will sleep there willingly at night. She is not crazy about being left alone all day, so Abby would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company, or one where someone is home most of the time.

History:
Abby was a former ABR dog, adopted in 2004. Her owner is moving out of the country and feels it would be best for Abby to find a new home. Abby is up to date on her vaccinations and is looking for a home to call her own.
