Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If interested in adopting from Lighthouse please fill out our adoption application. Instructions on how to fill out our online application are on our website here: https://www.lighthouseanimalshelter.org/application-instructions
Visitors are currently limited to approved applicants only. We will contact you when your application is fully processed to set up a time for you to meet our dogs.

Hank is your typical, happy lab who is outgoing with every human he's met. He's a sweet boy who likes the attention of our volunteers and is totally obsessed with playing fetch. He would love a yard to play in.
He has a medium energy level so he would make a great adventure partner by day and cuddle buddy by night.
Hank is well-behaved in his crate. He will sometimes let out a bark but the majority of the time, he is quiet in his crate and he doesn't have accidents.
A message from Hank: I am a 6-year-old, 69 lb. male
My paperwork says I am a Lab Mix
Dogs: I get along with other dogs
Cats: I haven't met cats yet

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.
Please call all of your references (landlord if applicable, vet offices, and personal references) before filling out an application to let them know that we will be calling. We are an all-volunteer program and volunteers often make reference calls from their cell phone. It will be a number your personal reference does not recognize. We understand most people will screen their calls from unknown numbers so please tell them to keep an eye on their voicemail and give the volunteer a call back at their earliest convenience. We may end up playing phone tag with your personal references but will reach out to you if we need further assistance in reaching them.
Once we receive your application, we will check home ownership or landlord permission, personal references and vet references. We will reach out to you if we have questions during the process.
Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
