My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oakly and her 3 siblings were found surviving outdoors with their momma. Kind humans were feeding them and giving them shelter in a shed before coming into our care. She enjoys playing with her siblings, but really prefers being the observer. Oakly has taken a while to warm up to her humans, and can still be quite spicy, hissing and avoiding contact. When she gives in, she secretly enjoys the pets and will purr. She would be best in a quiet home with older children and no dogs.
She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered.

An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet.
You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200.
It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along.
We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations.
