My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Little Bit!

Hey y'all! I'm Little Bit. You want to know how I got my name? Because I'm a little bit of everything perfect, in a small dog's body. I'm just 12 years old, which really isn't very old for a small dog, and I weigh only 12 pounds. I get along with all of my female house mates, here in my foster home, and even all of the cats! I'd actually do best without any other male dogs. I like the ladies, what can I say? I wouldn't mind being the only dog either! I've even been around kids 12 and older and I do well with them, but because I'm not really fond of my face being touched, and I'm blind in one eye, I shouldn't live with small children. My foster mom says basically I'm pretty amazing, and I'm even house trained.

I love car rides and playing with my ball, and I'd love to lay by you while you watch tv at the end of the day and get brushed and a few rubs from you. I'll always make sure I let you know of any impending doom, or visitors, as I watch the world go by out the window. I'm not too big on fast movements, and will try to hustle strangers out of the house, so it might be best for me to be put up when visitors come. And when we go to bed I sure hope you'll let me sleep under the covers with you. I want nothing more than to show you just how much I love you! Are you looking to add a sweet little fella to your family? One dedicated to you? Well, that's me!

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
