Found crying on the streets of Egypt when he was just weeks old, Mickey's rescuer looked for his Mom but could not find her, so she took the little guy home.
Mickey was so young that he had to be bottle fed. Because he was hand-raised, he completely trusts humans (as you can see in the video).
A stunning Bengal/Nile Valley Egyptian Mau mix who is affectionately called Magnetic Mickey because there is nothing in the world this boy enjoys more than cuddling on the sofa with you and curling up on any vacant body part he can find. This 14 month old beauty is a lap cat extraordinaire!
Mickey loves to play with feather wands, crinkle balls and pretty much anything his human initiates. His pleasure comes more from interacting with his two legged family than it does with the toys.
A social and gentle boy with the loveliest temperament, Mickey is a tiny little fella. When he looks up at you with that sweet face and tongue slightly hanging out, he is irresistible. :)
He is so easygoing, he would make a wonderful companion to an adult only family as easily as he would to a family with children who love and respect animals, are not hyper around him, and who would be kind and gentle (i.e. not tail pulling or playing rough). He would be fine with other pets but would likely not interact with them much. He is all about human connection.
Mickey is just pure Joy. There is nothing not to love about this handsome lad.
Adoption fee: $750
PINK’s adoption fee is determined on a cost-recovery basis which includes the cat’s vetting (which varies for each animal depending on the situation and circumstance of their rescue), microchip, up to date shots, de-worming, de-fleaing, spay/neuter, all travel and flight costs, government mandated fees (in Egypt and Canada) and the international carriers they flew to Canada in.
Because the animals come from abroad, there are many more costs involved.
Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and dogs on the streets of Egypt as we can. The fee you pay helps the Egyptian rescues recover their costs. Not only are you saving this animal's life, you are helping to save another animal's life because the rescues can continue doing their work.
