Here’s an unusual dog! Clarisse is an individual whose personality is as unique as her appearance. Those of you who are Star Wars fans will notice that she resembles an Ewok! You have to look closely into that furry face to see the twinkle in her eyes. Clarisse weighs about 40 pounds and is under 2 years old. She is full of energy and exuberance, and is very playful and affectionate. She is housebroken but hasn’t had any other training, although she is very smart, responsive, and eager to please. In fact, a training class would be ideal to channel her energy. A number of breed-knowledgeable people have been stumped trying to figure out her genetic origins. So far the best guess is that she is a Schnauzer-Chow mix. Whatever the ingredients, she is in a class all her own. Clarisse seems to get along fine with people, although she is a little skittish around children. She also seems to do fine with other dogs, even small ones, but not with cats and other small animals. Clarisse needs an active lifestyle with someone who will take the time to show her what behavior is appropriate.
