My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello All! My name is LOUIE and I’m a young energetic dog who is looking for my forever home. I come from Tennessee but for some reason I was surrendered to a scary shelter and no one can figure out why a family would give up on me. I’m going to need an energetic family who is willing to give me lots of exercise and attention. Look at those pictures of me, I am just so darn cute!

I’m sweet and full of energy. I’m still very much a puppy who will need positive reinforcement training so I can become the best dog ever! Training is a must for me! I have been told I am a great dog, incredibly smart, and a quick learner. I do like attention (I am still young) and lots of room to run around plus lots of playtime (and I do like playtime). I love to go on walks and meet people – I do OK on a leash but will benefit from more leash training (among other new things to learn). I have been taught now to sit when told! I love my food and treats, too. I love everyone I meet, people and dogs and adjust quickly to any new environments – if I can play and run, I’m your guy!

A house with a fully fenced in backyard is a must. I will be GREAT with another dog (especially if they can run around with me) and probably OK with kids too but I’m still very much a puppy who is still learning puppy biting is not allowed. Children older than 12 will be better for me. I just want someone who will play with me (like another energetic dog). I do get excited and sometimes when you stop playing with me outside, I want to get your attention again. So far, my house training is great. If you teach me at your house, I can ring a bell at the back door to let you know I have to go out. I do like to chew, so toys and chews are a must for me – did I mention I’m still considered a puppy? I am usually calm in the house. I will NOT do well in an Apartment/Condo.

Here is what my Foster Mom says about me: “Louie is doing great and sleeps through the night with no problems. Louie is sweet and adorable! He loves the backyard and his toys! Louie is still young and likes to chew, so his new family will need to ensure there are dog bones and toys he can use. He does great with my dog, and they have lots of fun together. At times, Louie reminds of a little bear when curls up sleeping. Surprisingly while he has been with us, I have seen no shedding! He is going to make a wonderful addition to a family who is willing to invest in love, time, patience, and training. Training really is a must with Louie as he still needs to learn his boundaries. Our family just loves this little guy!”

What do you think? Am I the sweet dog you have been looking for? Really, then put in that application for me! I want to find my forever family so much – I will love you all! Hugs and Kisses, Louie!
