My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is around 4 years old and 40ish pounds. She is very sweet, LOVES people, and will make a great partner for someone who likes to be outdoors and active. Ginger came to us with her three puppies and she has clearly raised lots of puppies in her life. She was very tolerant of their shenanigans but is enjoying living her best puppy free life now that they have gone on to their forever homes. Ginger is perfect for someone that likes to hike or walk and enjoys time outdoors. She walks well on a leash, she is smart and attentive, and she is highly treat and praise motivated. Ginger is in a foster home with large and small dogs alike and gets along well with everyone. She doesn’t like her dog friends to be too rowdy with her but she would appreciate a well mannered dog sibling. She is potty trained with a doggy door and rides nicely in the car. She is affectionate and sensitive so she appreciates kind words and takes only a gentle verbal correction to let her know the house rules.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 12pm-2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
