HISTORY:
Darcy came to us from an open admission shelter as a newborn kitten with her mom and sibling.
ABOUT:
Darcy is very inquisitive and a wee bit nosy. If you are uncomfortable with the “feeling of being watched” Darcy may not be a good fit for you -- she loves to follow everyone, everywhere! She even likes to perch on the bathtub ledge while you shower. Darcy is a young playful girl who can use her imagination to turn anything into a toy. She loves attention and the occasional snuggle but because she is always ready for playtime, be warned if you touch her belly as she sees that as an invitation to wrestle and play. Darcy spends most of her day wandering around trying to convince the people and other pets to play with her. When everyone is too busy to play with her, she will pass time by investigating every bag, box, and open closet door.
Darcy is being fostered with two older teenage kids, but we think she would be happy in homes with younger children too. As long as they are old enough to understand that she may use her claws in play at times. Darcy gets along great with her mom, Branna, and also does well with the resident cats and is very respectful of the cat who wants nothing to do with her. Darcy is very comfortable with the resident large breed dogs, and even enjoys playing with the youngest, most playful dog.
Darcy is a high energy kitten so her ideal home would have people or other pets who are available for regular entertainment and stimulation. She loves having company and would particularly love another animal who wants to be her playmate.
