Blessed is a female fawn-colored wire haired terrier mix. She is 1-2 years old and she weighs 14.7 pounds. Blessed is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. Blessed also had a cherry-eye repair (tuck and suture) at the time of her spay on 6/29/21. You will notice in her pictures that the hair around her left eye is shorter from being cut in prep for surgery. Blessed is 10-days post surgery and ready for adoption.
Blessed has a gentle, reserved personality. She came to rescue in early June with her litter of five puppies, already weaned at the time. From the beginning Blessed has been easy to handle although a little shy. She has the cutest underbite and darling scruffy appearance. Blessed is crate and potty trained, and is cooperative with a leash. Blessed gets along with other dogs although she is shy and reserved around them as well. We think she will be adaptable and blossom in any safe and secure home situation, but she might be intimidated by too active of a home. Blessed will come when called. She is sweet and catches on quickly. Blessed seems to have no expectations of anyone, but appreciates scratches and pets.

A completed adoption application and, upon approval, an adoption contract is required. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet.
We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
