My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Ellie! I am approximately 2-3 years old. I came to the shelter after I was rehomed online to a person who had cats and dogs, and unfortunately I don't like cats (and didn't like the dog much either).

I am a sweet, friendly girl, and still quite active and playful too. I LOVE to play fetch! I can be a little shy at first with strangers, but I warm up quickly and am a cuddly dog. I have a very high prey drive and will go after cats and small animals, and have had mixed reactions with other dogs too. I'd be happiest as an only pet in my new home.

I know how to "sit" "stay" "lay down" and "shake." I know most of my basic manners, but still jump up a little on people, so I could use a bit more basic training. I am an incredibly smart girl, and learn quickly.

I am spayed, up to date on my DAPP and rabies vaccines, and micro-chipped too. My adoption fee is $175 ( + $20 county dog license, if residing within Jefferson County).

ADOPTION PROCEDURE: HSJC is currently CLOSED to the public. We are accepting applications for Ellie. If you are interested in her, please submit one via our website here: https://hsjcwa.org/adopt-a-dog

We do not ship animals, and due to COVID and border issues cannot adopt to Canada at this time.
