My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eyes that will melt your heart: that's sweet Doe. Those eyes have already melted several hearts along the way. This beautiful girl was found injured and brought to the city shelter. The shelter was full. Her future was bleak, but the shelter worker who took her in saw that gentle look and reached out to rescue. The rescue was full, as well; but when we met her, we couldn't say no. Fortunately, a wonderful family stepped up to foster her through her recovery. The second photo shows Doe just a few days after leaving the shelter, finally taking a deep breath and getting some quality lap time. In her foster home she has blossomed into a playful, happy dog who has a pretty "sit." She stays calm and well-behaved when she visits stores with her foster mom, and loves to offer a paw to shake when she meets a new friend. She needs a slow introduction to new dogs, but does well once she has time to get to know them. She has also spent supervised time with cats. Doe is heart worm negative and on regular preventative, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
