My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good morning to Mr Sunny! ☀️
This guy has been looking for his forever home for a few months now. He has a wonderful personality and is the cutest little guy!
Sunny is a one year old, domestic short-haired kitty with the most handsome gray tuxedo coat pattern and bright yellow eyes!
Sunny is a great little dude! He can be an affectionate cat but he can also give you your space. He loves to play with his toys and chase strings and stuffed mice around the house! He loves to lay at the food of the bed when you sleep and enjoys being cuddled once you have woken up! He doesn’t mind being held and he loves to curl up right on your chest!
As we have told y’all before, Sunny has a virus called Calicivirus. It is an upper respiratory infection that will cause flare ups throughout his life. However, these flare ups can be controlled with specific antibiotics. Because of this, we have two options for potential adopters: Sunny could move into a fospice situation (foster + hospice) in which someone would foster him forever! This means POP would still pay for all his food, supplies, and medical bills and all you would provide is a stable and loving home for him to live in. This also means that we would reserve the rights to move Sunny or make certain medical decisions for him.
Our second option is a typical adoption situation. The adopter just needs to be aware of Sunny’s virus and to understand the cost of treatment and how he may expose other cats to the virus as well.
Sunny is a wonderful cat and is worth all the love of a normal, healthy cat. If you’re interested in either the fospice or adopter options, fill out our adoption application below:

**Please allow our adoption coordinator 48 to 72 hours to get back to you. Once your application is processed and approved, you’ll get to have a zoom interview with our adoption coordinator and talk with her more about our process in scheduling a meet and greet in Auburn, AL.**
