Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cher is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Cher came from a fast kill, small town, dog pound. She was picked up with her 3 puppies. Her puppies are weaned and Cher is ready for a home. Cher is a black lab - she looks pure breed but we don't know for sure. She weighs 64 pounds and is still young, maybe between 1 and 2 years of age. Cher is sweet and loving. She loves affection and petting. Cher is a very good dog. She is house trained and well mannered in the house. She can be trusted to behave in the house if left loose and unsupervised. We do crate Cher for small periods of time but she does not like to be crated and will want out if she is crated for too long. Cher sleeps on a pallet next to her human's bed. She will wake you up if she needs to go outside.
Cher is active and loves playing with other dogs around her same size. She tends to ignore small dogs and we have not seen her play with toys. Cher is an alpha female and she should only be paired with males or submissive females. Cher gets excited about squirrels, birds, the cats outside of the yard, and she might be responsible for the demise of a couple of baby opossums that wandered out from under the house. She is busy looking for squirrels in her video, but she does interact with people and other dogs. Cher is a good girl but could use more obedience training. She will jump up on you sometimes and we are working on that. Cher must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and must have a secure 6-foot tall fenced yard to run and play.
Cher is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Cher has a $500.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT. Cher is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted. Please email 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting this great dog.
