Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A Lola’s volunteer was contacted by someone if we could take a bulldog who was in poor condition – he was living outside and not taken care of. He was immediately taken to our Texas vet who sedated him to clean out his tail pocket that was infested with maggots – they spent an hour cleaning it. His ears, eyes and skin folds were also in bad condition. It was a miracle he survived living outside in the heat. He was neutered and brought to a foster house for intensive care and daily medications. His fosters did daily cleanings to try and save his tail but it was decided it would be best to remove it so he had that surgery along with a dental cleaning.
Mr. Pork Chop is a typical high maintenance English Bulldog. He will need daily maintenance for the rest of his life including Daily eye drops (he has KCS), cleaning his skin folds, wiping his bottom after he goes #2, cleaning his ears. As a typical bulldog, Pork Chop does slobber after he drinks water.
Talk about adorable though! He loves to sleep and he snores very loud! He also will bark at a wall! He is
great with our other dogs big and small, and our little children ages 2 and 3. He likes to go outside then
comes back inside quickly after he potties. He has done great and is potty trained!
He is a big love bug and thinks he a lap dog (All 54 lbs of him!) He enjoys car rides and sitting on the
couch watching tv beside you or just laying with his people. He is a great companion for someone
looking for someone to care for. Pork Chop is Very loving and sweet.
Please note: Lola’s will only be considering applications from experienced bull dog owners due to the care that Pork Chop will need at the lifestyle of a bulldog.
Pork Chop travels to Wisconsin on 7/11/2021.
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above.
Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense.
