Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Josie Girl also known as Little Josie. She is believed to be about 7 months. She was 1 of a litter of 3 puppies. Sadly all came down with parvo and only her and big brother Oscar survived.
Josie and her brother Oscar arrived In March at the Sanctuary. They were just recovering from parvo and needed a little work on socialization. Upon arrival, all they could do was shake, hide, and cry out of fear every time we tried to get near them. Fast forward to now. Josie is full of spunk, lots of mischievous energy, she has found her voice, and has become that little bossy sister that tags along. She's always trying to keep up with her brother who's twice her size and wants to join the other puppies and adult dogs during big group play. She just refuses to stay behind so we allow her to do so. She may have to work twice as hard to keep up but she keeps up. She has a heart of a 200-pound dog but she's only 20ish pounds. Josie has a beautiful, outgoing, curious, playful, energized personality. She has selective hearing when it's convenient too. Like when it's time to come inside to rest before dinner. Or when we try to keep her from the bigger pups who play a bit too rough. We just let her be and she has proven she can hold her own.
A home with another playful dog is preferred. A secure fenced-in the yard is a must, but we are open-minded and will process all applications and evaluate each applicant. An experienced pet owner is preferred and bonus points if you've raised puppies. Inclined toward home with at least another playful dog in the home.
Training is an ongoing process that has to be worked on daily. New issues/opportunities show up daily that have to be addressed and/or rewarded. Continued training is required.
Sponsorship very much welcomes and is appreciated.
