My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In St. Johnsbury, VT
Meet Carl! Carl is currently being fostered in Vermont. He is an Aussie mixed breed and around 10 months old. Carl Needs: exercise, cuddles, and puppy training. A family with older kids (6+) is recommended. Carl Wants: a dog friend, or at least regular socialization with other dogs. From his foster mom:

Carl is seriously so sweet! He is skittish in certain situations, and does prefer women over men at this time. But I really think with time and exposure, that skittishness is going to go away quickly. We've had him less than a week and he is already acclimating so fast! He is a little bit nibbly, but it's always just putting his mouth on things, not biting at all! I think it's the puppy in him along with the breed. He is GREAT with other dogs and children (I have a two year old daughter and a dog of my own). We haven't tried much with off-leash because we haven't had him that long, but I don't think that it would be a bad idea to try once he is comfortable. He also seemed to have been potty-trained in the past.

It's bittersweet writing this because I already have fallen in love with this little guy, but he would do very well in a home where he could be active and be your partner in crime. I bet he would be a great jogging or hiking buddy!!! If you think that Carl is a good fit for your family, please fill out our application. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Carl was rescued in Tennessee and transported to VT to find his furever home. There is an additional $150 transport fee which is the actual cost we paid for professional transport.
