Louise “Lulu” was born sometime in May 2021. She is a shorthair domestic girl looking for a forever home. She is beautiful with one white toe on her hind paw. It is the cutest thing ever!
Louise “Lulu” came to her foster home in May 2024 over-weight, scared and filthy. Just 2 weeks in and daily brushing, she is shedding much less and her fur is becoming silky. She has discovered she loves being brushed and receiving affection. Affection on her terms! In the beginning, she would let me know to leave her alone by swatting at me. NO CLAWS were used, she just batted my hands to let me know not to touch her. So, I would stop and just sit still letting her know there weren’t any repercussions and that I understood I needed to leave her alone. Anyone who adopts her must have patience and the skill to understand that she will become trusting on her own time schedule. Once she comes to understand that you are only interested in giving her a safe, stable and loving home, she will learn that you are kind and only want to ensure she is happy and then she will begin to trust you. Week 3 with me, she opened up showing her trust by exposing her belly and letting me brush her there. The next day I was shocked as she mustered up the courage to rub up against my legs as I was getting her breakfast ready for her. You’ll know she loves the attention you are giving her by the head-butts she will give you.
She uses her litter box and LOVES her scratching post. She loves “cat TV” meaning, she loves looking outside the windows and watching nature. Lulu is also treat motivated.
