Ed came to us on 6/22/21 along with his mother, Imogene, and his siblings Eric, Max, Gabe and Nancy. The kittens were born appx mid-April, 2021. Ed is a tad on the shy side, but with a little loving, he has come a long way here at MCHS. He also has the distinction of being born with a 3/4 tail! Ed has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now neutered and is current on his shots. We are looking for a strictly indoor home for this shy guy. You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. Adoption fee is $80. A pet porter is required at the time of adoption. To meet Ed or any of our cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application. For dogs, there is an application form that needs to be completed a few days ahead of time, before we are able to release an animal. We review applications to make sure there is a compatible fit between adoptive home and the characteristics of the animal. Adoption fees for dogs range from $95 to $150

Regular animal viewing hours are at the Shelter on Tuesdays from 4:30PM to 6PM, and Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. Other days/times can be arranaged by appointment.

More about this shelter

The Mower County Humane Society is run entirely volunteers. The group strives to take in homeless and stray dogs and cats and place them into responsible, lifelong homes.
NOTE: The Shelter address does not register correctly on Google maps. Our Shelter is east of the Charter cable office in Austin MN. This is off of Hwy 218 south - our shelter is east of the highway just off the eastern tip of Oakland Avenue. The official address is 101 22nd Street SE
