My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. I'm Boomer. LOL, they used to call me Nutter Butter! I'm a big boy, about 60 pounds of well built dog! I'm probably 16 months old. Nobody's sure just HOW old I am, because I had a pretty tough time as a younger puppy. When me and my siblings were probably 5 weeks old, we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere! Fleas were trying to eat us, and ticks, and things like that. There was no food. To top it all off, my little brother couldn't walk. He was badly injured. I'm brave, so I took my biggest sister and we looked for help.

A nice lady found us! I didn't know how to tell her about the rest of my siblings. But the lady was pretty smart...she called Lucies Project! The ladies there told her there were probably more of us, and asked her to please look. She did! And found my other sisters, and my injured brother. Then she took us all to Lucies Project.

At Lucies Project, we got food and water! They poked us in the necks with sharp things, but it didn't hurt much. And all those pesky fleas and things went away! We all felt so much better.

My little brother was taken away for awhile. When he came back, his injured leg was gone! and he could play with the rest of us again, because he wasn't hurting anymore. It was fun times! People came and visited us, and started to take us home with them! We had all heard that was the best thing ever, so I was happy when my siblings went with people. Soon, it was my turn.

My special day! A person to love just ME! It was wonderful! But my friends at Lucies called to check on me, and soon discovered I hadn't had my scheduled vaccinations and hadn't been neutered. That made them sad, and they made me come back to the dog park. Then I got stuck in the neck some more, and went to the doctor. He did something to me, and I'm not at all aggressive, and I don't bark much. I'm a good boy!

I'd like it if someone else wanted to take me home, so I could be their special dog. I love children, but I don't like cats! Cats are just pesky.

Please contact LUCIES PROJECT if you think I could be your special friend!
