My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Spike is an adorable 7-pound, 2-year old, brindle and white short haired male chihuahua. Sadly, Spike’s owner passed away in April and now Spike is looking for a new forever family to love and care for him. He has lots to offer such as:
• He is neutered
• Shots are up to date
• He is in the process of being potty-trained and doing very well at it
• He loves to go for long walks
• He walks well on a leash (unless he sees a bird!)
• He does not bite
• He does not go through the trash
• Hardly sheds / requires very little grooming - just periodic baths and nail trimmings
• He absolutely LOVES to snuggle either in your arms or on your lap
Spike Would Do Best With:
• A family with older children, or other small dogs, or both.

Spike Would NOT Do Well With:
• A family with small children and/or big dogs because he does not do well with either. Small children and big dogs tend to be too rough with him.
• Someone who lives alone and would have to leave him for extended periods of time.
