Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Megi was rescued with her mom and 4 other siblings in the countryside of Cheongju, South Korea. They were raised in such a terrible environment. They were tied to their houses with 20-inch leash outside. The water bowls were muddy or empty. An old man fed them cheap kibbles and did not clean their feces. He was too old to take care of his goat farm as well. There were piles of feces of dogs and goats everywhere. He was about to sell these dogs to a dog meat farm. We decided to take them from him.
When Megi was rescued, we found she had the parvo virus. She was in the hospital for a while and has been through lots of tests and shots. When she came to the Welcome Think Dog Centre, she was so bright and energetic that it was hard to believe she just survived from the virus.
Megi is shy at first when meeting strangers, but she loves to be around people. She let a stranger touch her on the street. Even a kid could touch her without any issue. It does not take long to get close to her. She will become very affectionate in a short time.
When meeting larger dogs, she is very active. That is because she used to play with her siblings. She still has to learn how to say hello to other furry friends in a gentle way. When she met an unfriendly small dog, she wagged her tail but became timid. With a cat, she was interested but became timid as well. She might have chased a cat to play if the cat moved fast. But it is not likely she will be aggressive toward cats.
Megi walks well with a leash. Once you build trust, it is easy to call her to come in a dog park. Her energy level is very high. And she is very strong. An active family will be a good match for her. And Megi LOVES food! But you can still touch her mouth and body when she is eating.
**Megi is spayed. All vaccinations are updated.
**The adoption fee for Megi is $840 CAD.
**Megi is currently in South Korea. The adopter will cover the additional cost of her transportation.
