My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Brownie is a dear, adult Shepherd mix who found himself roaming the street as a stray for the last two years. One would have thought he was feral, but no, he was just on a long walkabout. Quite the opposite of a feral, he's very gentle and some might even say timid.

Although he's a gentle soul, he loves other dogs and while he is generally submissive to them, he enjoys their company and has no desire to compete for attention. He just likes to "be". He typically strolls around, slowly as he pleases...unless he sees a squirrel! Then you wouldn't believe the ups this guy has! He will bound a 4-foot fence with ease, so for that reason alone, he requires at least a six-foot, secured fence.

Brownie is a good, slow, mild-mannered gentlemen who loves his person and will sit down for an evening of television with no reservation. He does well with kids so long as they know how to properly handle a dog but we've not seen him with cats. Considering his intense interest in squirrels, cats are likely not a good match for this otherwise cool guy.

Brownie is about 5 years old, up to date on all vetting, and weighs in at around 75 pounds. His adoption fee is $200.00. If you would like to be considered as his adopter, please submit an application through our website.
