My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blessing is a very handsome, perhaps Labrador/Pit mix, maybe a little Weimaraner who has the most beautiful coloring of light blue/chocolate with a tan undercoat. His nose is bluer whereas his eyes are brown...he's just fun to look at and super soft.

Blessing is around three years old, but still very young at heart. He is full of life and love, likes to stay busy by running, playing, and chewing on Nylabones. When he finally settles down to rest, he will climb next to you and curl up to watch a movie or drift off to nap.

Blessing is good on a leash and is learning basic commands and proper play with other dogs. He will need an active, higher-energy family with older kids (over 12) as he is not a couch potato. He would much rather be out on a walk or playing ball in the backyard. Speaking of ball...his favorite game is (you) throw the ball and he will chase it. He will last as long as your arm will. He would also be quite suitable for a runner who is looking for a running companion. He is considered high-energy. Blessing would thrive in a home with a yard, as opposed to an apartment.

Blessing is not a big fan of the crate so if you intend to crate him, know that he is still learning it is his safe place. He was previously fostered in a household with other dogs and has done well. He uses the doggy door and has not had any accidents in the house but will need to establish a potty schedule right off the bat.

Blessing loves to give hugs! Some folks might interpret his enthusiasm as jumping, but he doesn't "jump" on or at you. Rather he reaches his arms out at you, to simply give you a hug. The foster opted to not correct this action as it is NOT bad behavior, it is his way of showing his love. If that bothers you, we understand but he's not the dog for you if that will be an issue.

If you are a family or an active single person looking for a great friend to share home and activities with, Blessing is your guy. If you would like to meet him, please use the link below to submit an application. His adoption fee is $200 and he is fully up to date on vetting, neutered, and microchipped.
