Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet 1.5yr old, 11lb Genesis the chi terrier mix. Poor girl was brought to rural central valley shelter confused and scared in major pain. She had likely been hit by a car when stray. She needed urgent surgery to amputate her mangled leg. She is not a tripod, but that doesn’t slow her down much. She is recovering nicely and needs a home without too many stairs and easy outdoor access. Luckily, she found rescue and is doing great in foster care. She is super sweet, but shy at first and takes time to warm up then he is all cuddle and your bff. She is sensitive, quite and needs a home that will be give her time to feel safe. She is dog/ cat friendly and best with older kids. She is doing well on house and crate training so far. She will make a great companion dog.
Thank you for reading about our awesome dog. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area.
The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent.
